The author does use quotes from Reddit(social media website) users who tasted the drink and also includes an excerpt from and email that was sent to Quartz from Pepsi concerning the validity of the new flavor. The author uses a very causal tone that makes the article feel like a conversation with a friend. It was a humors article that was truly amusing.
