5. Home Sweet Home, Again

In this article, Gina Dalfonzo talks about her opinion in multigenerational household. She talks about how the percentage adults, more than two, is increasing by year. In America, there are 56.8 millions of people experiencing it. She starts by telling people that she herself lives with her parents. Then, she tells about how what people in the society think; the people of society thinks it is not good and even made movies about it (Failure to Launch and The 40-Year-Old Virgin). Then, she starts counterattacking that idea. Dalfonzo does live with her parents, but unlike what society thinks, she does have a job, pays rent, and helps at the house. Also, she argues that living with parents help with financial issues and to stay close to your family. And that if she did move to another place, the chances of leaving her family, friends, her job, and church are high. She adds a quote from Julie Rodgers "most of us want, even need, our lives to be “witnessed” in some way. It’s a bonus when those other people are people I love, and who love (and put up with) me." Finally, she also adds choices of if she were to live another place. Her choice would be having a roommate, but people never know what kind of roommate they will get, so just don't push your luck.

Gina Dalfonzo does a good job in giving her opinion on multigenerational household. She gives a proper introduction explaining that there are more people living together. Thus, stating her opinion, and the readers realise that the body paragraphs will be about her supporting her opinion. She clearly tells what the society thinks about multigenerational household and how she thinks about that. She gives many supporting evidences to explain why living together with parents are a good thing. She also adds resources and quotes from other places; telling how there are people who agree with her. Gina Dalfonzo writes a persuasive article so that people can understand some things about multigenerational household, and so people don't judge her because she lives with her parents.
