This article talks about how twitter has changes over the
years, and how these changes were both good and bad. The author explains how
twitter was trying a new experiment of showing tweets favorite by other person
in your own newsfeed. You can only see the tweets from people that you follow,
when someone re-tweets another tweet, or when it is an ad. Now, a user could
see the tweets of of an account that the follower follows which is very odd to
the user. This change was a big change to twitter because it changed the whole
purpose of twitter, following, and so on.
Also, the author explains that when people favorites a user’s tweet, it
means an “I agree” or “it was funny” or anything else, but something that is
not supposed to be shared everywhere. In
conclusion, the author explains that changes might be good, but you got to make
the right changes.
Robinson Meyer, the author of this article, is totally
against the changes that are happening in twitter. It is clear through his
choice of words that he is against, and whishes that twitter would go back to
how it was. He does not only inform his own opinion, but he also tries to
persuade others to think that the changes of twitter are bad. Reading his
article, the reader can feel much persuaded and can agree to his thoughts
because of the way he wrote this article.
