9. Jesus Loves the Little Children… But I Don’t

In this article, Kate Shellnutt talks about what she thinks about kids and children. She starts by mentioning how she doesn't like kids. She adds some information talking about how the number of people that are pregnant in United States is getting lower. That there are many people in their 20s or 30s who don't have children. She mentions the article “The Childfree Life” and talks about the statistics shown in the article.
She also mentions that some married women are pressured to have kids and with the social media many times women doesn't want to have kids. The media talks about how taking care of kids is more tiring that joyful. However, then, the Shellnutt mentions how her best friend had a child. She was actually happy for her friend and even cried, but sometimes she maintains her composure to act as if she liked kids. Then, she adds some verses in the Bible about how Jesus loved children. Today, she still find kids annoying, but s working hard to like them more. The idea of the child raising to be a bad person or something bad happens to them is scary even for those who don't have children. However, Christ is also taking care of the child and he does a much better job than any person in the world.

Kate Shellnutt does a good job stating her idea and giving examples. In the beginning, she starts by giving the statistics of the amount of people that are pregnant. She also tells us how the number has decreased a lot. Then, she mentions a few articles like "The Childfree Life" and "All Joy and No Fun." She explains what she finds in each of them and how they support her evidence. However, then she talks about how she likes and dislikes kids, which I think is controversy. She mentions how she cried when her friend had a baby, but also mentions how she still doesn't like kids and is working hard on it. When she writes down some verses on the Bible, we clearly know that God loving and caring for kids is true. So, she does support her idea of Jesus loving children and Shellnutt not. However, there was some controversy in there.
